OTES Machine and Computer Vision covers the cameras, software and engineering that give a machine or a robot the ability to see what it is working on. The Mech-Mind range forms the core of the category. Mech-Eye Industrial 3D Cameras produce a 3D point cloud of a bin, a pallet or a fixture, and Mech-Eye 3D Laser Profilers in the LNX family scan surfaces at 4K+ resolution and scan rates up to 15 kHz for inline measurement. On the software side, Mech-Vision handles machine vision processing, Mech-Viz provides code free robot programming, Mech-DLK adds deep learning for parts that cannot be described by fixed geometry, and Mech-MSR performs 3D measurement and inspection. Zebra Aurora Vision Studio covers 2D machine vision tasks including 2D measurement, barcode and QR code reading, OCR and quality control.

The applications behind these products are specific. Bin picking removes the need for an operator to present randomly oriented parts to a robot, because the industrial 3D camera locates each part in the bin and the robot plans an approach that avoids the bin wall and the neighbouring parts. Depalletizing and palletizing handle mixed box sizes and layer patterns without a rigid product programme. Machine tending keeps a CNC or press cycle fed when part position varies. Piece picking, localization and assembly use the same 3D point cloud to place a component at its real position rather than at a taught coordinate. Inline measurement and quality control check dimensions, presence and surface condition at line speed, while OCR and barcode reading connect the physical part back to its record in the production system.

A vision project succeeds or fails on integration, which is where OTES concentrates its work. Alongside the Mech-Mind and Zebra product lines, OTES has integration experience with Cognex, Hikvision, SICK, Wenglor, Balluff and Omron hardware and with Halcon software, so an application can also be built around cameras and sensors already installed in the plant. The scope typically covers feasibility assessment on the customer's own parts, camera and lens selection, lighting and mounting design, calibration between camera and robot, application programming, commissioning on site, operator training and technical service across Türkiye.
